COLOURING COMPETITION (29/6/2012)

Colouring is fun for children and it does allow them to be creative. As children develop, we also see development in their colouring. It also has great benefits for developing coordination, grip, self expression, colour recognition, therapy, building motor skills, focus and boundaries. Aware of its importance, we at Orchids, organized colouring competition for our preprimary students on 29/06/12. They all enjoyed colouring and found it a great fun.

Koffee with Parents (23/6/2012)

23.6.12 was a day of ‘KOFFEE with Parents’ at Orchids. Parents who really make a lot of difference attended the programme which was meant to be an Interactive session. Principal, Ms. Mona Mehdi gave an introductory address which was informative and promising. All about Orchids- from its Mission and Vision, its Philosophy, Policies and Rules, to its activities and endeavours to progress constantly were elaborated. Parents were also motivated to encourage their children to grab opportunities and participate in all the programmes, activities and competitions which gradually improve their skills and performance. Orchids exists for the children and their all-round development.
Mr. Sri Ram, Head of Shree Sahasraa Foundation who handles Abacus and Vedic Math classes at Orchids demonstrated how the subjects make children excel in Maths.
The Interactive Session impressed the audience and closed with Parent Representatives nominated for all the classes. Another beginning again!

Campus Tour (22/6/2012)

Orchids – The International School organized a campus tour for primary wing (Nursery to V) on 22nd June 2012. A campus visit is the best informative activity at anytime. This helps the students to ask of questions and to explore the aspects of the school while on their tour. Touring around will create in students a much sharper appreciation for the school and will help them to refine their sweet memories in the school. It also makes them naturally enthusiastic. The child would come to know about the school’s culture and can share their experiences. Once we are on campus tour, we have an advantage of a variety of ways to learn about the school:
·         Reading bulletin boards
·         Conversations with students
·         Explore the campus on our own and absorb the atmosphere
·         Being motivated
Finally, everyone starts feeling comfortable which in turn helps them to learn well and enjoy oneself.
